Sauteed Shrimp

This sauteed shrimp goes well with Vietnamese shrimp salad, noodle soups and pasta dishes.

Ingredients
1 lb of  jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 onion,  chopped
Red-pepper flakes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions

In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat.  Add  onion and cook for 1 minute until soft but not brown.  Add the shrimp, garlic, red-pepper flakes, salt.  Saute shrimp for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp is  pink and opaque. Pour shrimp into a plate and cover to keep warm.
