Chuoi Nuong

Chuối Nướng is  grilled banana in sticky rice rolls.  It is served with coconut sauce with sesame seeds.  It is a cheap dessert, sold by street vendors in the afternoon  in Mekong Delta. (Chuoi: banana, nuong: grill).

Ingredients:

• Bananas – use special “chuoi Xiem” for good taste
• Rice mixture: sticky rice, coconut milk, salt, sugar
• Coconut sauce: coconut milk, salt, sugar, corn starch
• Top with roast sesame seeds or chopped peanuts
• Wrapper: banana leaves
